Biography
Christos Hadjiemmanuil is Professor of International and European Monetary and Financial Institutions at the Department of International and European Studies, University of Piraeus.
He studied law at the University of Athens and the University of Chicago (LL.M., J.S.D.). He was Lecturer in Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1995 to 2000 and is currently a Visiting Professor at the LSE’s Hellenic Observatory. He has also taught at the University of Athens, the Athens University of Economics and Business, and the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht.
He has served as legal adviser at the Bank of Greece and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund (HFSF). His research and teaching interests lie mainly in monetary and financial law, central banking, and European financial regulation.

Specialized Experience
Professor Hadjiemmanuil has served as Legal Adviser to the Bank of Greece and as Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund (HFSF).
He has also worked on advisory projects concerning financial sector reform and central banking. His experience covers both academic and applied aspects of monetary law, European financial regulation, and crisis management mechanisms in the EU and Greece.
